DESCRIPTION:\nJoin us at The Palmetto Club (1231 Sumter Street, Columbia) for an informative presentation by Tom Bates of The Principal Financial Group.\n \nTom is a Regional Vice President – Business Owner and Executive Solutions with the Principal Financial Group (The Principal).  Tom joined the Principal Financial Group in 2010.  He has an extensive background supporting financial professionals in all areas of life insurance planning.  In particular, he has focused on addressing the needs of business owners both as they relate to the company and to their personal financial and estate planning.  \n\n  Tom’s prior experience includes being Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for an executive benefits consulting firm and running a division of a life insurance carrier that provided specialized support for brokers working with affluent individuals and business clients.  \n\n  He has been a frequent speaker at life insurance industry meetings, including speaking multiple times at both the AALU and MDRT annual meetings and at the Top of the Table meeting.  He received his undergraduate, MBA, and Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University. Tom and his wife, Cindy, have 2 children.\n
